Pipkorn Company is described online as a building materials firm, that is, a distributor for other companies such as Clay City Pipe Co. While Mr. Pipkorn died in 1911, his company survived until – at least – the 1940s – 1950s based upon advertisements we found. The W. H. Pipkorn Company constructed Sarasota, Florida’s first skyscraper ( a seven story building ), The Sarasota Hotel which was completed in 1925. So, perhaps the company was also a builder or became one after Mr. Pipkorn’s death. About 2 1/4 x 2 1/2 diameter inches
