Per online resources: Olde Frothingslosh was created by KDKA radio personality Rege Cordic in the early 1950s as a fictional, comedic beer, supposedly brewed by “Sir Reginald Frothingslosh” in “Upper Crudney-on-the-Thames”. It was marketed as “the pale stale ale with the foam on the bottom”. The beer was actually Iron City produced by the Pittsburgh Brewing Company. The cans featured, Miss Olde Frothingslosh,a “300-pound go-go dancer” – Marsha Phillips aka The Blonde Bomber – in a swimsuit, making her one of the first real people to appear on a beer can. We took the photos against a white background and then – because the calendar is paper and flexible – we moved it to a wood table for another set of photos. About 18 x 12 inches
