This may have been designed as a shelf talker. There are flaps on the back, now taped together, that would allow the sign to sit on a shelf like an easel. At the lower right, bottom is [a partial word] Duquesne Brewing Company, Pittsburgh, PA AE 72-60. The frame is metal (and likely re-painted). The blue surrounding Duquesne and Pilsener is painted on the front of the glass. The back of the glass has a painted blue star on white design – that is faintly visible from the front – surrounding a white block that sits behind the masked out Duquesne name. The reverse glass – painted on the back – gold Pilsener is under a block of white. Given how it is made, there are likely other brands advertised using the same layout. Condition report:
Frame: There is spray overpaint on the glass, most notably on the upper left and full right side. There is also wear to the frame as pictured. The flaps, as noted, are taped together. We opened the flaps to take a picture of the back of the glass. As you can see, there are scattered scratches and loss of paint.
