An unidentified salesman sample seltzer bottle. While marked JJ-56 on the siphon, that is likely a mold number. There is no manufacturer mark on the bottle. The – non-working – siphon screws on; it is a single piece, not the two-piece split ring construction of an actual working siphon. ( There were numerous bottle manufacturers named J.J.: Jos. James Bottling Works, Red Jacket, Michigan; J. J. Lackawanna Bottling Works, West Seneca, NY among others. ) The ribbed bottle is about 5 1/8 inches tall and 2 inches diameter. With the siphon, it is about 6 ½ inches tall.

Condition report:
There are no cracks to the glass bottle, just some bubbles in the glass. There is a chip to the start of the threads, not the lip - rim - which is hidden by the siphon. The lip is smooth. The siphon handle may have been broken off and repaired. There is corrosion on the exterior and beneath the place where it joins to the main siphon.
